George Balanchine’s Nutcracker is Sure to Light Up the Stage

December 12, 2017

The perfect Northwest Holiday tradition for your family, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® is sure to put you in a festive holiday mood this Holiday season. You can catch the Nutcracker this season running from November 24 – December 28.

For our family outing in Seattle, we attended the Nutcracker the opening week after Thanksgiving. The whole entire show ran around 2 hours with an intermission in between Act I & Act II. I took my 9 year old daughter to the ballet for the first time and she was immediately impressed. The first half wasn’t something she was familiar with, but once the second half started she was immediately hooked. Everything was so eye-catchy & moving. She couldn’t keep her eyes off how beautiful everything was.

Our take on the newer version of the Nutcracker is amazing. Before this show, the last time I attended a PNB Nutcracker in Seattle was in 2003. I’m very impressed with the George Balanchine’s Nutcracker that PNB performed.

I’ve created a gallery of our outing in Seattle. Before the show we headed over to Top Pot Doughnuts for a donut & coffee and took some pictures before & after the show around the Seattle Center.
