Great Wheel of Seattle: A Dream Come True

January 21, 2019

Unless you’ve been living under a rock these past 5 years or you’re not from Seattle, you probably already know about the famous Great Ferris Wheel at Pier 57. The Ferris Wheel is so famous it even has a book after it. I’ve been wanting to blog about my experience from 2018, but I never really got around to it until I was skimming through my 2018 photography albums.

It only took me 5 or so years to finally mutter up the courage to ride the famous Ferris Wheel on one glorious April afternoon. The weather was beautiful too, a mere 75 degree day in late April. April 22 2018 to be exact if you’re looking for specifics.

I decided to venture out to Seattle with a former colleague who was from out of town (Alabama to be exact). She had never been to Seattle before! I decided to first head behind Pike Place Market to capture the photo that’s down below.

We decided at the last minute to spontaneously head to the Great Wheel which wasn’t too far from Pike Place.
