We’re always looking for easy dishes for our family.Tonight I decided to raid the pantry and come up with a quick dish.I mean REALLY quick dish. Sometimes after hours of work I just want to throw something simple together. I was already planning on a slow cooker challenge here in October so this gets me prepared more for this. This recipe took me 15 minutes to prep & 2 hours to cook in the crock pot. I cooked on the high setting (4 hour) and I think that might have cooked it too fast. You can place this on a lower setting for optimal results.
Don’t mind the messy crockpot. We cooked homemade chili last night and the remnants went all over the exterior of it. This awesome Crock Pot 4 quart has been a great addition to our family. We got this on a super deal at our local Goodwill in 2014. They have having a $1.00 pink tag deal and I snatch this bad boy for that $1. Talk about a WIN. This crock pot gets really hot and cooks true to setting for us.
This recipe came out pretty amazing. My kids came back for seconds. My littlest was able to eat just about everything minus the corn. We broke it up a little to be finger food and it was perfect.
Nicely staged and pretty I think. This was placed right next to the spice rack I accumulated in 2015 and finally decided to spray paint last month. I won’t go into more detail on that project and perhaps save that for another DIY post.
I have placed below my printable recipe for you to enjoy. Now bear in mind, I’m no chef. I’m just a mother who hates being tied into the kitchen for hours on end. I hope you enjoy this! Please feel free to pin this for later & share!
This amount served our family of 8 tonight so there’s plenty to go around!
